Posted - 11/29/2008 : 12:53:22 PM I was just thinking about how every season the 8 ball league I am in has 5 or 6 teams still in the hunt for a playoff spot with 1 week left. So I decided to take a look at the other divisions and almost every division has playoff spots up for grabs, with most having several teams still in the running for a playoff spot. Some divisions have 3 or 4 teams tied for first place!
I think it is great that the leagues are so competitive. It shows a desire to succeed from every team. It also shows that the concept of a handicap system in pool works and the one we have is doing an excellent job.

Posted - 12/01/2008 : 09:32:45 AM Amen! My teams are usually among those fighting tooth and nail to grab a remaining playoff berth at the very end, so I'm right on board with ya.
I think the worst time to have a heart attack would be during a game of charades... or during a game of fake heart attack.
