Posted - 06/30/2005 : 12:05:20 PM Phil, Can you give us an option to see the matches schedule by Establishment on a given date .
For instance: Select PJ's Pub for Thursday 6/30/05 and you might see that there are 4 Nine Ball Matches scheduled to play in the TO 9 Ball Division and the teams are A vs. B, D vs G, M vs C and E vs F This tells you who will be at PJ's playing 9 ball, it will tell you there will be no practice tables since they have only 4 tables, you probably can not have a makeup match since all tables are occupied.
That would be very helpful when trying to select a makeup match or schedule and advanced play date. This would also help those people who are playing on multiple teams and in multiple formats on various nights. You could even figure out where certain players are on certain nights if you have to schedule a single match make up when necessary. That would be especially handy if you are making up a 8 ball game from Monday and both players are playing 9 ball at the same place on the following Thursday.
I know we can figure out this stuff now but it would be alot easier if you could view it by Establishment by date.
What do you say?

Posted - 09/10/2008 : 4:34:45 PM Phil, Remember this suggestion? The divisions keep growing, expanding, spliting and the establishments continue to grow in numbers as well.
Can you reconsider giving us this one? It should be possible with the data you already accumulate.
And depending on the report language there should be a way to order the information so it is usful Makin each of the Team #'s a below the actual Team Name and Number and have it hyper linked to the actual team rosters and then their schedules like you do in other places.
Team Match Ups by Establishment Match Location: 09/22/2008 ---PJ's Monday-----------Arena Monday------------Butera Billiards ----Div 1-----------------Div 2-------------------Div 3 Team 1 vs Team 2------Team 7 vs Team 3--------Team 3 vs Team 7 Team 9 vs Team 10-----Team 4 vs Team 8--------Team 8 vs Team 2 -------------------------Team 5 vs Team 6
----Div 2-----------------Div 3-------------------Div 4 Team 7 vs Team 2======Team 1 vs Team 4--------Team 1 vs Team 2 Team 8 vs Team 3======Team 5 vs Team 6--------Team 3 vs Team 4 ========================================Team 5 vs Team 6 ========================================Team 7 vs Team 8 ========================================Team 9 ve Team 10
Well the formatting above does not present well on the forum but I will be glad to help you with it if I can.
What do you think?

Posted - 07/01/2005 : 10:23:48 AM My line of though was: Ok I need to work it out so we can make up a match and I'll be a this bar on this date playing 8 ball ...who else is there on that date playing 8 ball red or blue...? How many teams play there that night and will there be an open table?
If that date doesn't work...
I'll be at this location on this other date playing 9 ball....who else is there on that date playing 9 ball red or blue? How many teams play there that night and will there be an open table?
If that date doesn't work...how bout on an off night...which location and how many teams are there in what format and will there be an open table.....
Once we can isolate a yes to location and night then we can attempt to get agreement with the other team or individual on the makeup schedule and sometimes we find that the other teams players are somewhere else on that night in a different format....so we start over.
Of course we could do it in reverse and try to agree on the night and location 1st then check to see who is playing where on that night and then see if that location might have an open table.....that in itself can be pretty tricky with the red and blue divisions in both 8 ball and 9 ball and now the masters will start getting into the mix here and there.
Either way it can get pretty complicated to work it all out now that there are so many players who play on more than one team and in more than one format out of more that one location.

Posted - 06/30/2005 : 3:47:49 PM While not impossible, that would be a bit of a challenge. We don't even have that capability in our league software. I don't believe it would be as useful as you think, either. Using your example of scheduling a one-match makeup, you would first have to find out which teams the two players are on that night, then figure out where both teams are playing. The easiest way to do that is by clicking on the schedule link from the team page for each team. If you try to do it with a "location schedule" page, you would basically have to guess a location and see if you're right.
I guess the question is when is it valuable to know who's playing at a given location on a certain date? Usually the question you want answered is where a given team is playing on a certain date.
