Congratulations to everyone who participated in the MVP tournaments this past weekend at PJ's Pub in Thousand Oaks. We had two full days of tournaments, and great pool all around. The top finishers in each tournament were:

8-Ball, skill level 2-3:
First Place - Elizabeth Kohler
Second Place - Richard Deleon
Third Place - Nusi Hulshoff and Julio Serpas

9-Ball, skill level 1-3:
First Place - John Johnson
Second Place - Sherry Ryan
Third Place - Kelly Dowe and Marlyssa Hummer

8-Ball, skill level 4-5:
First Place - Joy Nelson
Second Place - Jonathan Yellow Hawk
Third Place - Charles Welch and Torsten Sporn

9-Ball, skill level 4-5:
First Place - Michael Ford
Second Place - Jinny Hilderbrand
Third Place - Kerry Randolph and Skip Miller

8-Ball, skill level 6-7:
First Place - Ogust Carmel
Second Place - Erwin Bremermann
Third Place - Richard Haydt and Mike Pritchard

9-Ball, skill level 6-9:
First Place - Simon Fell
Second Place - Glenn Workman
Third Place - Mike Zabel and Peter Lorber

First place in each tier won $120, a trophy, and entry into the Spring Singles Regionals. Second place won $80 and a slightly smaller trophy. Since the 8-Ball tiers have bigger fields, the third place finishers also won some cash ($50).

We would like to thank PJ's Pub for hosting the MVP tournaments once again. Erwin, Phyllis, and their staff did their usual excellent jobs taking care of the players all weekend!

Phil
