Posted - 02/27/2006 : 08:21:52 AM On behalf of Mark Jones, the Borderline staff, and myself, I want to thank everyone who came and played in the open tournament yesterday. We had a wonderful turnout and a great time. Kerry Randolph was our deserving champion. Keep the winning streak going in Bakersfield, bud!!! Billy Box was our second place finisher. Every time we looked up, Billy was playing against somebody SL 6 or 7. He beat 'em all. Great job, Billy. James Durston, a non-league player, finished third. Good shooting all, and thanks again. Can't wait for the next one!

Posted - 02/16/2006 : 11:36:07 AM Viv, that depends on how many entrants we have. We are hoping for a good turnout, and we are also encouraging people to bring their friends who are not currently in the APA. Maybe they'll catch the fever and join up for next session. If we have a turnout smaller than we hope for, we may do handicap races in the slide-to-two format. If we get a nice turnout, we will likely do single frame, double elimination.

Posted - 02/09/2006 : 3:07:10 PM If you could read, you would see that....... ok, ok, I'll be civil. Call ball and pocket. Everything else is standard APA format. All ball in hand rules will apply as well. 10 bucks to enter. Five goes to the pot, one goes to the house, and the other four buy you an alcoholic beverage (I can see your ears perk up from here, Viv) from the bar, or two soft drinks for anyone who doesn't imbibe alcohol.

Posted - 02/09/2006 : 10:40:27 AM The payment will be, percentage wise, something along the lines of 60-30-10 for win, place, and show.
Mark and I would like to reiterate that ANYONE is welcome. Even you, Taz and Phil!!! So bring your friends who haven't played APA and get them hooked.
