A giant raffle with thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be held during the tournament. In your league envelope you will find Raffle tickets. You can purchase them early or get them when you show up for the tournament, or both!!! You do not need to be present to win a prize. Just put your name and phone number on a ticket and put $2.00 per ticket along with the tickets into your league envelope and we will see that your tickets get into the drawing.
THE FUN STARTS AT 2:00 So come on out and help us raise some much needed money for a family that a lot of us know and care about.
ALL PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILY! Questions??? Call Kat Sanden @ 659-4163.
It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt |

Kerry, I don't know if the papers plan to publish anything on that tournament but I was browsing thru a community paper yesterday and happened to see an ad about the Ventura County Star Paper's web site.
They have a web site where anyone can write and post a story complete with your own pictures and if it is written well enough it may get picked by the Star to be also published in the Star Paper where the writer will receive credit for the article. Looks like a nice opportunity for free publicity on just about any event (like a pool tournament). They have special sections for each Ventura County town.

Posted - 04/10/2008 : 6:50:18 PM Hey everyone who participated and donated their time, a great big "thanks!" for making it not only fun, but being patient while waiting for your matches. The turn-out proves how much we as a league can help each other and not just compete against one another.
To those who helped out, I think you all did a great job considering the big crowd. Props to Kerry and Keith for preparing the food. Kat and Georgia did a great job getting everyone together, including Taz, who help kick start the event. Thanks Taz! And to Jerry and Stiix for the table time and locale.
Really, this was a super event and I had fun being there. I heard the local paper was there covering the event. How cool is that!

Posted - 03/31/2008 : 07:18:06 AM So far the outreach to the Laughlin family has been overwhelming and
I want to thank everyone that has donated to the cause. Not only their funds but their time.
To date I have had wonderful donations to the raffle: Winchesters, Wild Planet, Aphrodite, Eroika Pet Supply, and Weaver Wines just to name a few. If you know of anyone that would like to donate a prize or Gift Certificate please do not hesitate to call me as I will do the follow up and pick-up any donations.
Also we will be accepting credit cards for a one time .45 cent fee, that is what it will cost me to process the credit card.
Thank you again for your love and Support to the Laughlin family!!!
