We would like everyone to now that the message board is NOT the place to air out grievances. This league has a process in place for dealing with sportsmanship issues. The process is as follows:
The LO gets a written complaint and then proceeds to gather information. Letters are sent out to every member of the two teams involved in order to get each individual’s account of the incident. Bartenders and others (witnesses) are interviewed (when deemed necessary) and asked for their input. AFTER the individuals have a chance to turn in their write-ups, THEN the Board Of Governors is convened. We review all written materials taking all sides into consideration. The LO shares previous incidents and player history, if any. We hold discussions until a resolution is agreed upon by the majority of our members. The resolutions follow the APA guidelines listed in the APA Team Manual in the Conduct During League Play section.
Sportsmanship issues MUST be written up and sent to the league office so that they can be handled appropriately. This process, due to its nature, takes time. Given the proper time the above process does work.
