have you ever watched a match between a pair of 2's that struggle for 1-2 hours to play their match before one of them wins two games? and causing all the team mates to cringe every time they miss an EASY shot? SUGGESTION play a race to ONE when ever two 2's match up. That would speed up the night and keep everybody happy. and usually a player that has to struggle that long isn't having fun anyway and are more apt to give up pool than if they lose a match and come back the next week with a little more experience..

More often than not it is the 6 or 7 matchup is worse as they tend to analyze every shot. There are some ways of speeding up 8 ball without singling out player levels

Isn't the object to make the object ball? But yes you are right the leave would be awesome if it was your shot.

Me Biker... I made my suggestion...what is yours?
I think you just singled out player levels by mentioning 6&7

a 6&7 may analyze every shot and then MAKE the ball where as the 2 will analyze the shot and then MISS.... and a 6&7 game seldom last 1-2 hours and the match is usually a very good learning experience for anybody paying attention.
the only way to speed up a match between 2 2's is to reduce the race. remember this is NOT a complaint ...merely a suggestion to consider.
I only singled out the 2's because they are the ones that consistently take a long time to play

The longest match I have ever witnessed included a 5. It took about two hours and was more than 50 innings. Our team was still able to finish up by about 11 that night. The cause of long nights is rarely a single match but the stuff that goes on between matches. If each team takes 6 min between matches to decide who they are going to put up. It ends up being at least an hour spent between matches.

Remember the person you have to impress the most is the one you sleep with every night.

ok.. lets disregard the overall time for league night and consider the frustration level of 2 two's playing each other who can't make a ball. letting them play for that length of time isn't even good practice because they aren't receiving coaching on every shot they miss.
my post probably won't make it to the "consideration factor".. but I had to say something.. have a great day and thanks for your opinion.
