I know that in these difficult times , the new philosophy is to always be positive. But i gotta tell ya the new website stinks. If not for more than one reason, at least because you cant see your opponents stats. As a captain i feel it is my job to keep the team abreast of whos hot (according to the stats) and whos not! The new website takes this away from us. Whos with me on this?
The captains job is meager enough as it is. pick up the paperwork, Drive from town to town picking up envelopes,Driving back to the pickup place, explaining to the cops why your out driving at two in the morning after a couple beers, decide who to put up first, paying for the slackers who forgot to bring cash, and go to a meeting once in awhile. What is this A.A.!?
I feel this should be changed, and im absolutely positive i am not alone in this. Its time the masses should rise up and say "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take this anymore!" kinda thing.
If i have to write a letter to a congressman or Jeanette Lee, or somthin I will, just give me an address. (Jeanette Lee's preferebly)
And if others are unhappy with this sitiation get off ur butts and do the same!
Maybe I'm spoiled from Phil And Tazes old website, I'dunno. But because of their website we know there is more info on tap than the A.P.A. "MAN" is giving us, and we deserve better!
I'm tired of bein treated like a brunette, red headed stepchild, lets get on this and nip it in the bud.
Men , take a lesson from your wives, and complain. Complain till it hurts! After all the squeeky wheel does get the oil.

| Once again, please feel free to email and share your thoughts with the National Office. It serves absolutely no purpose to do so on this message board, other than getting our members upset about something we have no control over. |

I have made the same comment in a letter to the National Site "Contact Us" ....
Not only this issue but the stats are inaccurate or just not readable in the format they have them.
I got a nice reply back that the issues I raised have already been received and corrections are being made. But don't let that stop you from sending in the same issues or others. Don't think that "someone else will send this in" ... the faster we get the issues in the system the faster we'll get results..
Keep hittin the holes .... |

When you are logged in to the national website, at the bottom of any page is a "Support" link. Click this link and you can leave your comments or questions. May I suggest, making suggestions on improvements rather tthan just complaining. I too contacted them a few weeks ago and received a response that they will be starting on improvements in the near future. Don't let this stop you from contacting them too. The more people they hear from, the better ideas they will have to make the site as best as possible. Remember, be constructive.

Sorry Taz. Its nothing against or about you believe me.I loved your old site, still do. But I did want to motivate others to complain about what it is we dont like or as others suggested not just complain but give suggestions as to how to make the site better if not only more user friendly. So I'm not always saying "oh so thats what i need to click on" It leaves me sitting in front of my computer looking like that indian in the old dont pollute commercials.

You misunderstand mo2cros. I don't have an issue with you posting your thoughts; however, I simply need to point out the FACT that they serve no purpose on THIS site. The APA does not read this.
You should certainly let APA know what you like or dislike about their site and share your thoughts for improvements, but you need to do it thru the proper channels (their site).
You may be interested to know that Phil is a member of the APA's Website Development Committee, and as such will continue to push towards a site which offers at least what ours did, if not more. It will take some time, but progress has been made and more will definitely be coming in the not-so-distant future.

| But why was it changed in the first place??? Was it the APA that wanted this changed or you guys???? Did APA have a problem with your site??? Was this a mandatory change from the APA.....The APA should have learned from your site, because your site is way better than the APA hands down.... |

Over half of the APA leagues across the country have never had stats on the web before. When APA began developing the new software program we use, they saw it as an opportunity to provide that capability to members everywhere. That's a good thing, but APA has chosen to be conservative in deciding how much they provide. Not everyone everywhere agrees that open access to statistics league-wide is a good thing, and there were some real privacy concerns with providing everything like we used to. APA has decided to err on the side of caution and make sure the privacy issues are properly addressed before opening the stats up any further.
In the near future, APA will be allowing us to open the access to our stats within our own area. What that means is that you will be able to see the statistics for any South Coast division, not just the ones you play in. That will allow you to follow your friends and look for teams in other divisions with open roster spots. It does NOT mean you get more stats on each team/player. We're still working on that one, and it might take a while. In actuality, the only things missing would then be matches won this session and individual lifetime statistics for non-teammates. Oh, and MVP information for anyone not in the top 15 of their tier.

I think the main reason the APA wanted everyone to go to the National site is for the Marketing, Branding, and value increase to the APA. Consider how many people will now go to this website and the advertising dollars the APA can generate based on these numbers. Hopefully, the APA turns around and increases the pots @ TOC and Nationals with any extra income generated by this move.
It's a very intelligent business move.
