Phil - what is the deal with the Masters Tournament? How can you get entry to that - do you just pay? I read the flyers on the APA Home Page and all I could figure out was that it costs 150 to enter - although actually entering wasn't so clear to me...
Also - I know you had a Masters League going past session... do you plan on having another one?
The Triple Play Masters tournament is one of the APA's "pre-registered mini" tournaments. That means the field is limited and slots are assigned to different league areas. League operators handle the entries for their respective areas. Some hold qualifier tournaments, while others just sell their slots on a first come, first serve basis. We are usually in the latter group, though with this particular event we are holding two of our four slots for the division winners in the Masters division we ran last summer and fall. One other slot has already been sold, leaving us just one at this point. Anyone wishing to claim that slot can do so by sending us a deposit of some kind toward the $150 entry fee.
We folded the Masters division this session due to lack of interest. If there is enough interest in the future we will start it up again.
Thanks Phil! Good Stuff - I have a a few people who would be interested in being on a team with me so - that's one team... although I would rather the league be established out of the valley rather than running all over different counties....
So people in the Valley - if you are interested in getting some teams together - please post here! Let me know and let's get the ball rolling - playing striaght up sounds like FUN!
