I am all for girls in pool, without them this would be boring, but I wonder how much grief a man would get for openly stating he wanted an all man pool team. |

I don't think you'd get any grief really - I am sure there are several teams that are all male - also I know when I competed in Las Vegas - there were a lot of east coast teams we faced that were all male... This is a male dominated sport for the most part - things are changing with things like the APA etc... also the WPBA, getting plenty of television exposure and women are taking more of a serious interest in this game which I personally LOVE! I would love to support something like an all female team or even a tournament because of reasons like that... |

What I think Kerry is saying is that if he or I said "I'm starting a team but guys only" we'd be called sexists... and very loudly at that. That being said, I think the idea of an all-girls team is an excellent one. Women seem to be less excited about the idea of joining a pool league in which the membership is predominantly male. However, seeing an all-girls team might spark their interest in joining. I'm a big fan of anything that will grow our membership.

I knew what he meant... but I think it's kind of dumb getting an all male team - I mean - who's going to keep score??? LMAO - TOTALLY KIDDING people!

I agree with Torsten... as long as the league gets promoted that's cool. I often come across women who'd love to play but are intimidated by the testosterone levels.
By the way Torsten and Viv, your msg banter is always amusing and entertaining... it's like watching 2 kids in the backseat of a car going at each other (5 year olds, I mean)
