Our South Coast APA family has lost one of its members. George Ryan (Ojai) was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given six months. He stuck his thumb up theirs and courageously saw the 2-year anniversary of his diagnosis come and go, as he struggled his way thru his battle with cancer. I'm proud to say George wasn't just a player in the league and an APA family member, he was also my friend.
As sad as it is to have lost George, I'm thankful the Lord has taken him home and ended his long, difficult and painful struggle. To his family and close friends, all I can say is George is not in pain anymore. Rejoice. We are selfishly sad and mourn the loss of our friend, but he is much better off.
Make sure to let those you love know it, as our time on earth is short and you never know when it will be done. God Bless. |
