Does anyone know, If I made the regionals last summer, and it plays this june...what are the requirements as far as current active status? I mean do I have to uphold a certain amount of matches during the current season to be able to participate?

If by "regionals" you are referring to the team tournament that advances the winning teams to the National Team Championships, you are actually talking about the South Coast Championships.

No individual player makes it to this tournament...teams do. A team who earned its qualification in the summer session and is advancing to the tournament this June must meet eligibility requirements, which are all listed under "Tournament Information and Rules" in the team manual..I'll give you the highlights (it is strongly recommended that all teams advancing to the South Coast Championships aka Team Regionals make it a point to familiarize themselves with those rules).

Once qualified, a team must maintain a minimum of 4 of the players listed on the roster at the time the team qualified.

The team will advance to the tournament with their Spring session roster (thats the session we are currently in). Each of the team members on that roster must have an established skill level by the end of the current regular session (that means a minimum of 10 matches in their player's record from the time they joined APA, in the format in which they are qualified) and play a minimum of 4 actual matches during the course of the regular session with that team.

While there is nothing wrong with posting this on the message board, this type of question would be best addressed to your league operators via email or phone call. rather than a "does anyone know" post, as there are a lot of well meaning folks out there who are not as well informed as they think they are and you could easily get incorrect information.

here is a "what if " question.... TAZ says that a qualified team has to have 4 original team members to go to regionals, on a team with 8 players , what if a team had to split because of high numbers and 2 groups of 4 original members formed 2 new teams.... accordng to the requirements, each team would now be qualified.

That is correct, and it is not a problem. Both teams would advance.
