Taz,
I have two questions and I'm sorry if I didn't see the answers somewhere but I did look...
First, usually we need to register for the "main" tournament Thursday after a specific time (4:00pm I think?) and only one player from the team needs to do this, then there's a captain's (or "any one player on the team") meeting Friday morning and then the tournament starts around 9:00am. Will this year's tournament be the same?
Second, will there be mini tournaments on Thursday and if so how early will they start? |

Hi Jack,
Tournament registration is from 6pm to Midnight on Thursday night. Late arrivals can register between 7-8am at the main control table in the tournament room.
The schedule is not set firm until we know how many teams are participating (amount of teams determines number of rounds needed to complete the tournament). USUALLY players' meeting is at 8:30am with the first round of play at 9:00am (but this can change if needed).
Mini tournaments are normally run Thursday evening (around 7pm). The catch is if there is any hold up on the arrival (therefore setup) of the pool tables, which will delay the start time for minis. As I recall, it was either last year or the year before that the trucks got stuck in a storm somewhere and tables did not arrive until late morning and we actually had to cancel minis for Thursday night, as the tables need to be set-up, leveled, allowed to "settle" and re-leveled before they can be played on.
