Before everyone gets a little too chippy, let me clear up one thing. Yes Movistar, the break is a shot. However, there is a good reason we don't call a foul if you double-hit on the break.
How many times do you see someone wind up on the break, only to miscue and have the cue ball limp down the table at snail's pace? Some people do it a lot. If we call a foul for hitting the cue ball twice, these people would have no choice but to allow the cue ball to complete its ever-so-slow trek off a rail or two and into the rack, driving nothing anywhere. Now the person racking has to go back to the table and re-rack the balls. After a few of these, it becomes annoying, not to mention the time that's wasted.
Instead, we allow the breaker to stop the cue ball before it disturbs the rack, saving time and aggravation. To allow this, we instituted a rule that says a foul cannot occur until the rack is struck. This rule obviously applies to the double-clutch as well, since distinguishing between the two would require more complication in the rule book and would result in arguments over what was a double-clutch and what was not.
The other part of your argument, breaking beyond the head string, can be addressed by the current rules. If you observe a double-clutch break and the cue ball is beyond the head string on the second hit, simply point out that the break did not qualify as legal. The game should be reracked and the same player would break again, assuming no foul occurred after the cue ball struck the rack.

| Wow guys I can't imagine how you would react to these actions happening at nationals. If you see a player struggling with the break help them if you can. It does not matter if they are on your team or the one you are facing. This league is about having fun. If someone starts crap by their actions or talking smack. Beat them on the table and smile on the inside. Just remember how you would feel if someone made a bs call on you. Ask yourself if it is worth doing that to someone else. |

Now Mr. Iampato don't get mad, I am just people or friend telling you different.
Not Mad... first of all do you remember "Who" I would take outside? I would take "the person who would call a third party" to watch a BREAK! Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? Can you see the humor in it now? Who would even talk about calling a thrid party to watch a break?
Things that are more important that calling a foul... Having a Job. Having a place to live. Having fun. Laughing with friends. Playing pool, Playing APA. Did you really need me to answer that question?

You mean you didn't understand me, when we were on the team that went to Nationals? It is good I understood you. I am sorry, That was the height of my depression. or the Bottom, depending how you look at it. so I can see I may have been a little hard to understand... I am much better now, my Dr. says so.
The blanket and Grasp thing, I can't help you to understand. either you get it or you don't.
All in jest Kerry. I hope you know I try to get peoples attention first, laugh second. or vice versa. The questions are valid all are. it is when the answers are "not good enough" when I try to "lighten" the mood. and if that means I have to be a Jerk so everyone gets mad and angry at me. I can handle it. The rules are what they are. We have to deal with rules everywhere, Learn to Accept them. that is all I am saying. Accept the fact, Phil and Taz have provided us with an Exceptional well run league for us to spend Less then $10 to enjoy. Accept the fact people try all kinds of things during league. from marking the table, to not calling fouls. do down right Cheating. that is on them.

I still think that you were attacking Bernardo and no longer respect anything about you. You probably don't remember me and couldn't care less about what I think of you. Even so it is barely above the person who said that he has been cheating. |
